A brief court appearance Tuesday for a Brookings man charged with first-degree
rape and three counts of sexual contact with a child under 16.
Thirty-eight-year-old George Green has pleaded not guilty to all counts and has
been jailed with bond set at 20-thousand dollars.
Green's lawyer asked the judge to lower the bond. He says Green has no
serious prior record.
Judge David Gienapp agreed and set bond at ten-thousand dollars. Conditions
of the bond include no contact, direct or indirect with the alleged victim or her
mother.
