PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Gov. Dennis Daugaard will join governors
from seven other Missouri River states for a meeting and news
conference in Omaha, Neb., on Monday.
Daugaard's office says the 11 a.m. news conference will follow a
private meeting to continue flood-related discussions and receive
an update from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The discussion will focus on how the corps will modify its
operating plan for next year to help prevent the extreme flooding
experienced in 2011.
The first meeting of the Missouri River Governors was held on
Aug. 19, when the governors met with the corps.
