USD to Offer New Nursing Degree



     SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The University of South Dakota plans to
offer a new four-year degree in nursing.
     The program will begin next fall at the school's Vermillion, Sioux Falls and
Rapid City campuses.
     The state Board of Regents approved the plan.
     The college also has a two-year associate degree in nursing,
which allows qualifying students to become registered nurses.
     Last month USD named Carla Dieter as new chair of the nursing
department.
