SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Hartford man has claimed a $100,406
Dakota Cash lottery jackpot.
South Dakota lottery officials say Mike Swier won the jackpot in
the Saturday drawing. He had purchased his ticket at a Sioux Falls
liquor store two days earlier. He says he learned he'd won the
jackpot while checking his tickets at a grocery store on Sunday.
The maintenance worker claimed the prize Monday. He says the
fact that he won is still sinking in, and he hasn't decided what to
do with the money.
Dakota Cash is played only in South Dakota. The odds of winning
the jackpot are one in about 325,000. The jackpot goes back to
$20,000 for Wednesday's drawing.
