South Dakota State University President David Chicoine says
they can't thank Teresa McKnight enough for the work she's
done as Executive Director of the Innovation Campus.
We broke the news last Thursday of McKnight's resignation.
She'll become Executive Director of the Montana State University
Research Park.
McKnight told us that the park is right on track but that the
involvement of SDSU is key. She says the university needs to
look more into their participation in their park.
Chicoine is a member of the Growth Partnership board that
oversees the park and is puzzled by McKnight's comments. He
says the university supplied the 125 acres for the park for one
dollar.
He's not sure the direction the Growth Parternship Board will go
and believes they need to find someone with two distinct skill sets.
He says they need to be attentive to tenants and develop
opportunities for private investors to put buildings in the park.
Chicoine says the Montana position is a great opportunity for McKnight.
Her last day on the job is October 31.
