Reward Offered in Sioux Falls Arson Investigation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The police and fire departments in
Sioux Falls have formed a task force in response to a string of
arson fires.
Authorities say the Arson Task Force will get help from the
state Department of Public Safety, Fire Marshal's Office and
Division of Criminal Investigation, along with the federal Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Since early September, firefighters have responded to 15
suspicious fires in garages, sheds and vehicles mostly set at night
in a 10-block area. No one has been hurt but damage to property is
estimated in the thousands of dollars.
Authorities say the South Dakota Arson Investigators Association
is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to
convictions.
