Former DWU Football Player Sentenced



     MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) - A former football player at Dakota
Wesleyan University has pleaded guilty to a drug charge and been
sentenced to 30 days in jail and 1  1/2 years on probation.
     Authorities say 21-year-old Caleb Wray of Modesto, Calif., was
attending the Mitchell school on a football scholarship when he was
arrested on a marijuana charge. Wray told the judge that he ordered
marijuana from California about 10 times.
     The offensive lineman was kicked off the team last spring. He
finished spring semester classes before returning to California.
     Wray also was ordered to pay nearly $1,300 in fines and fees.
