Deputy Indicted on 4 Counts of Grand Theft

ARMOUR, S.D. (AP) - A Minnehaha County grand jury has indicted a
Douglas County Sheriff's deputy on four counts of grand theft.

producer, 41-year-old Rob Hotchkiss submitted fraudulent insurance
applications in order to obtain commissions. The four incidences
occurred in November and December 2008.
Hotckiss, of Delmont, is released on bond.
Douglas County State's Attorney Craig Parkhurst said Hotchkiss
has been relieved of his duties as a deputy sheriff until the case
is resolved. An arraignment is scheduled next month in Minnehaha
