A Brookings man is injured in an early Saturday morning car accident at
the South Dakota Soybean Plant in Volga.
The Brookings County Sheriff's Department was called to the Brookings
Hospital at about 2:30 a.m. to take a report on a minor injury car accident
involving a worker at the plant.
A jeep driven by 22-year-old Jason Torino of Brookings was driving
between buildings when his vehicle hit a pole and rolled. Torino had
only one headlight working and told the Sheriff's Department that he
did not see the pole.
Torino was taken to the hospital by coworkers, treated and released.
The Sheriff's Department is investigating.
