Woman to Stand Trial for Husband's Murder



     PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota woman accused of killing her
husband is to stand trial nearly two years after the alleged
shooting.
     Connie Hirsch is to stand trial beginning next April 2. The trial
was to begin this week but was postponed earlier. The new date
was set during a motions hearing on Tuesday.
     The 48-year-old Hirsch has pleaded not guilty to first-degree
murder in the May 9, 2010, death of 65-year-old Jerold Hirsch at a
home east of Pierre. Her trial is expected to last at least two
weeks. She remains in the Hughes County Jail.
