Man Sentenced for Involuntary Manslaughter

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man accused of driving
drunk in a fatal crash has been sentenced for involuntary
manslaughter.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says 34-year-old Jeff Cadotte Jr.
of Wakpala pleaded guilty to the charge in August and was sentenced
this week to two years and nine months in custody, to be followed
by three years of supervised release.
Authorities say Cadotte was drunk when he lost control of his
pickup truck on Feb. 23 and it rolled near Wakpala. The crash
killed 27-year-old passenger Cari Hill.
