Sioux Falls Ethics Board Dismisses Mayor Complaint

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The Board of Ethics in Sioux Falls has
thrown out a complaint about the mayor's involvement in public
presentations on a proposed $115 million events center.
The board says it lacks authority in the matter. The man who
filed the complaint says he'll be conferring with his lawyer.
I.L. Wiedermann says public presentations on the proposed center
that residents will vote on Nov. 8 have been one-sided in favor of
the project. He says since public money is being used for the
presentations, both sides of the debate should be presented.
Attorney General Marty Jackley so far hasn't waded into the
dispute, saying it's a matter for the city ethics board.
