FEMA has Help Line for Flood Victims

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota flood victims who have
registered for federal aid can get information and assistance
through a help line.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says people with
questions about their case should call 1-800-621-FEMA, or
1-800-621-3362, and choose Option 3. A number for those with
hearing problems is 1-800-462-7585. The phone lines are available
from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Central time.
The deadline was Monday for property and business owners in
Hughes, Stanley, Charles Mix, Union and Yankton counties to apply
for FEMA aid and for disaster loans through the U.S. Small Business
Administration. FEMA says about 1,750 applied.
