Murder Trial Begins Thursday in Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - The murder trial of 29-year old Heidi
Waloke is set to start in Rapid City on Thursday.
Waloke is accused of stabbing and killing her aunt, 38-year old
Jada Jeunesse of Pine Ridge, in a Rapid City apartment in May.
Seventh Circuit Court Judge Janine Kern ruled that the first police
interview done with Waloke a day after stabbing will be allowed in the trial.
Waloke's attorney asked that the word "murder" not be
permitted in the trial, but Kern denied the motion, saying murder
is the charge.
Waloke faces alternate counts of first degree murder, second
degree murder and first degree manslaughter.
