SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has
awarded a South Dakota company more than $6,000 to expand
production of advanced biofuels.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says Hanson County Oil
Producers LLC is one of 156 companies across the country that
received more than $44 million as part of the USDA's Bioenergy
Program for Advanced Biofuels.
Alexandria-based Hanson County Oil Producers is receiving about
$6,600.
Vilsack says the funding will help local producers increase
production and availability of renewable energy, which will help
the nation begin to reduce its reliance on foreign oil.
