SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man has pleaded guilty
to illegally re-entering the United States after being deported to
Mexico.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says 26-year-old Ramiro
Martinez-Rivas, of Rapid City, pleaded guilty to the charge in U.S.
District Court last week.
Prosecutors say Martinez-Rivas was found in Rapid City in
September after authorities previously deported him to Mexico.
Martinez-Rivas faces two years in prison and a $250,000 fine
when he is sentenced Nov. 29.
The Rapid City Police Department and Immigrations and Customs
Enforcement investigated the case.
