JEWEL CAVE NATIONAL MONUMENT, S.D. (AP) - Jewel Cave National
Monument and Wind Cave National Park are offering free tours Nov.
11-13 in honor of Veterans Day.
Jewel Cave visitors can take part in a moderately strenuous
one-half mile scenic tour that takes them through the rare cave
formations. Tours begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
A 20-minute discovery tour that is wheelchair and stroller
accessible will also be offered starting at 9:05 am.
Wind Cave is offering a quarter-mile moderately strenuous tour
that lasts about an hour. The first tour starts at 10 a.m.
Park officials are warning of potential for long wait times or
tours selling out, and tickets are being issued on a first come,
first served basis. All tours start at the respective visitor
center.
