Architect Describes Year in Haiti at SDSU



  BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls architect will share her
experiences of helping to rebuild Haiti after the January 2010
earthquake during an upcoming speech at South Dakota State
University.
     Stacey McMahan traveled to the devastated Caribbean country to
help build schools and clinics and teach safe building techniques
as a member of the Architecture for Humanity ground team. She spent
one year in the country as a sustainability advisor and design
fellow.
     McMahan, a partner at the firm Koch Hazard Architects, will
describe her time in Haiti at SDSU's University Speaker Series on
Nov. 15. The event starts at 7 p.m.
