Rural Towns Get Transportation Grants



 PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Transportation Commission
has awarded $2 million in grants for road improvements in smaller
communities in South Dakota.
     Gov. Dennis Daugaard says the community access, industrial park,
and agri-business grant program funds were awarded to improve roads
leading to schools, main business areas, hospitals, grain
elevators, and other economic areas in the communities.
     Those receiving the grant awards are Brown County, Colton,
Corsica, Groton, Scotland, Veblen and Worthing.
