AUGIE-DSU WBB…Alex Feeney scored a game-high 20 points and Shaunteva Ashley added 17 points to help give Augustana a decisive 75-37 victory over Dakota State Tuesday evening.
It's the last non-conference game of the season for the Vikings as they improve to 3-1 overall. DSU remains 2-5 overall as the game was an exhibition contest for the Trojans.
Jayda Swenson led the Trojans with 12 points. Katy Pillar had 10 points and 10 rebounds for DSU.

CLASS 11AA ALL-STATE…Brookings’ Matt Thomas has been named to the Class 11AA All-State football team as a defensive back.
The team is chosen by the South Dakota Football Coaches Association.
Thomas recorded one pass interception for the Bobcats this season, and punted 38 times for a 39-yard average. Offensively, Thomas ran 35 times for 259 yards and three touchdowns, and caught 30 passes for 453 yards and four scores. He also led Brookings in kickoff, and punt, returns.
Running back Brycen Nelson earned honorable mention honors. He ran 289 times for 14-hundred-30 yards and 13 touchdowns. Nelson also ran back kickoffs, and played linebacker late in the season.

LUPER POW…Oral Roberts’ Kevi Luper was named The Summit League's Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Luper averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 steals, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, while also recording two blocks on the week. From the field, Luper was 17-of-35 (49 percent), went 3-of-8 (38 percent) from behind the arc and 4-of-5 (80 percent) from the free throw line. The Golden Eagles went 1-1 for the week.
