PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - People along the Missouri River who have
flood insurance have been given an additional 60 days to file
claims for this year's flooding.
South Dakota Public Safety officials announced the National
Flood Insurance Program extension on Thursday.
Similar extensions were granted earlier. Flood victims now have
about eight months to file claims rather than the typical two
months.
