State Fair Officials Plan for Future

HURON, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota State Fair officials have set up
three task forces to explore how to improve the fair's finances and
facilities.
One task force will look at funding issues, while another
studies how to recruit more people to work at the State Fair.
The third task force will study options for adding more
campsites at the fairgrounds in Huron and improving the parking
system available to people who attend the annual fair.
The task forces were set up after State Fair Commissioners and
staff met recently to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats facing the fair.
The State Fair is held every year for five days ending on Labor
Day.
