Pole, who came to Dakota Wesleyan after two seasons as the recruiting coordinator and running backs coach at Augustana College, started with the Tigers in the 2005 season. In seven seasons, he compiled a 31-39 record and put together two winning seasons and one .500 season.
A committee will be formed to start an immediate search for a new head coach. In the interim, defensive coordinator Ross Cimpl will be the acting head coach.

WOOD BATS…South Dakota amateur baseball teams will play with wood bats, starting next season. State commissioners made the decision last month. Class “A” teams had used wood bats while Class “B” teams played primarily with aluminum.
