HURON, S.D. (AP) - Kidnapping has been added to the list of
charges against a Huron man accused of beating his pregnant wife
until she was unresponsive.
Twenty-four-year-old Thoung Sing already faces attempted murder
and aggravated assault charges in the alleged Monday night incident
at the couple's apartment. Sing is accused of tying up his
21-year-old wife and not allowing her to leave, in addition to
choking her.
Sing is being held in the Beadle County Jail on $25,000 bond. He
made his initial court appearance Thursday and is due back in court
Dec. 20.
