RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A driver who police say was intoxicated
and intentionally struck and injured a pedestrian with his vehicle
has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault and driving
under the influence.
Police say 50-year-old Calvin Alexander is accused of ramming
Ernest Little Thunder with his car Monday night in Rapid City.
Police say Little Thunder sustained non-life threatening
injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Police Sgt. Brian Blenner says Alexander was driving in reverse
when he intentionally struck Little Thunder. He says the two men
know each other.
