ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - Authorities have identified the Aberdeen
woman killed by a train Wednesday.
Brown County coroner Mike Carlson identified the woman Thursday
as 53-year-old Elizabeth Blacksmith
Police Chief Don Lanpher Jr. says that it appeared the Blacksmith
was trying to cross the tracks when she was hit. He says the train had
stopped but then began moving again as it was loading.
The incident is still being investigated.
