Jackley Wins National Award

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley
has received a national award honoring his commitment to fight
drunk driving and underage drinking.
Jackley is one of five attorneys general honored by the Century
Council, a national not-for-profit organization funded by
distillers.
The council says each of the attorneys general has participated
in launching the Ask, Listen, Learn program in middle schools,
worked to strengthen laws dealing with drunk driving, and created
statewide public service announcements.
Council president Ralph Blackman says the five have been
tireless advocates for citizens of their states and have helped the
council make significant progress on these issues over the past
year.
