And a 1965 Madison High School graduate is also being inducted Tom Orton of Dawsonville, Georgia received the nod. Moen played with Orton in college and remembers him as a solid basketball player.

FANNY FREEZE… While temperatures this winter haven’t been near freezing, a local group is hoping area runners will “Freeze their Fannies” for a good cause with a benefit 5K next Saturday. “Freeze Your Fanny, Warm Your Heart” race organizer Kathy Young of Madison says the January 10th event is open to everyone, regardless of athletic ability.
The race is a fundraiser to send a group organized by Living Hope Wesleyan Church in Madison to work at an orphanage in Guatemala. Young says the work the group does there makes it well worth it for runners to “freeze their fannies”.
Cost to register for the race is 35 dollars. Participants also get a free t-shirt as well as a free chili dinner. Young says the easiest way to sign-up for the race is to register on-line.
For more details on the race—or how you can help the group raise money for its trip, call Young at 605-480-2659.
