PIEDMONT, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City man working as a hired hand
on a haying operation in the Piedmont area died after becoming
entangled in a piece of equipment.
It's reported that 31-year-old Anthony Siquieros was pronounced
dead at the scene about 3 p.m. Monday.
Meade County Sheriff Ron Merwin says workers were converting
round hay bales into square bales when Siquieros' clothing got
caught in a power takeoff shaft. Merwin says he was told it was the
man's first day on the job.
