Brookings police are looking for a hit and run driver who took out a
street sign and a fire hydrant.
It was reported at about 10:45 Sunday morning and happened at
1st Street and 2nd Ave. South.
Police Lt. Derrick Powers says the hydrant had been pushed about
50-feet. Damage to the hydrant and sign top $4700.
He says the vehicle involved likely has extensive front end damage.
