Two people are hurt in a Wednesday morning accident on Highway 14
just east of Volga.
According to the Brookings County Sheriff's Department, an eastbound
SUV driven by 28-year-old Daniel Henning of Volga lost control, crossed
the median and hit a westbound pickup driven by 26-year-old Craig
Schlueter of Brookings. It happened shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Schlueter and a passenger in his truck, 42-year-old Gena Hult of
Brookings, were both taken by ambulance to the Brookings Hospital with
unknown injuries.
Henning was issued a citation for overdriving the road conditions. It was
icy and snowy at the time.
