Brookings County Commissioner Deanna Santema says her current
term will be her last. Santema says that after nearly 10-years on the
Commission, she has decided not to run for reelection.
Santema says she is announcing this now in order to enable others
with an interest in running to have time to make their decision.
She says the decision to step down has not been an easy one. She
adds, "therefore I ask candidates to come on out so I don't have to
change my mind."
Santema also thanked everyone for their support and understanding
during her time in office.
