PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A Pierre man accused of shooting out the
passenger-side window of an occupied vehicle has pleaded not guilty
to attempted murder.
Thirty-two-year-old Derek Boe also has pleaded not guilty to
several alternate counts. He's being charged as a habitual offender
and could face 50 years in prison if convicted on the attempted
first-degree murder charge.
Boe is accused of shooting into a vehicle with a 24-year-old
Pierre woman inside. Authorities say it happened Jan. 22 on a rural
Hughes County road. The woman was not seriously hurt by the alleged
shotgun blast.
