LEAD, S.D. (AP) - A woman died in a skiing accident at the Terry
Peak resort in western South Dakota's Black Hills.
Authorities said 24-year-old Tina Heilman hit a ski lift tower
Saturday as she was skiing down a beginner's slope at the resort.
Terry Peak President Tom Marsing says the woman was a novice
skier and she wasn't wearing a helmet.
A family friend says Heilman worked as a nurse in Sioux Falls.
She was from Orange City, Iowa, and a graduate of Dordt College, a
Christian college in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The college's president says Heilman worked in the college's
service missionary program in the Dominican Republic three years
ago.
