Two men are injured in a construction accident just outside of Brookings.
According to the Sheriff's Office, it happened shortly after eight o'clock Friday
morning on 32nd Street South, about a mile west of Western Avenue.
During construction of a pole barn, the forks came off a piece of equipment
and hit two men working about 18-feet below.
The injured men are 24-year-old Charles Wallowingbull and 23-year-old
Traig Schuelke, both of Brookings.
Both were being transported by private party to the Brookings Hospital when
they were met at 22nd Ave. south and 32nd St. south by the Brookings
Ambulance and then taken to Brookings Hospital.
Both men received head injuries and Schuelke was transported by helicopter
to Sioux Falls.
