Sioux Falls business damaged by early morning fire

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that sent smoke billowing from a Sioux Falls business.

Firefighters were called to Dakota Data Shred about 3:30 a.m. Monday. Authorities say shredded paper inside the building owned by Novak Sanitary Service created the large amount of smoke.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue investigator Barry Maag tells the Argus Leader newspaper that the building is in good shape but the interior has smoke damage. He says no one was injured.
