Canadian firm looking at mining Black Hills gold

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Canadian mining company has signed an option agreement on 532 acres of mineral claims near Keystone for potential gold mine development.

Mineral Mountain Resources Ltd., of Vancouver, British Columbia has signed the agreement to acquire operating rights and up to 75 percent of the property from Holy Terror Mining Co.

The deal would include the 1,200-foot-deep Holy Terror Mine and the Keystone Mine.

The area was once a productive mining district but has seen little activity other than sporadic exploration since the 1940s.
