IPSWICH, S.D. (AP) - Avera St. Luke's Hospital plans to open a clinic in Ipswich in August.
President and CEO Todd Forkel says the hospital serves many Ipswich-area patients, and the decision to open the clinic stems from the hospital's commitment to provide health care closer to those patients.
The hospital is in the process of recruiting a certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant to be the provider at the primary and specialty care clinic.
The hospital says a physician from Avera Medical Group in Aberdeen will also regularly see patients in the clinic.
