An intoxicated man is injured in an incident at the Brookings swimming
pool.
According to Police Sgt. Joel Perry, it happened at about 3:00 o'clock
Wednesday afternoon. He says the man tried to jump off the diving
board, slipped and hit his back and head on the board and then
fell into the water.
Perry says staff at the pool did a great job and had the man on a
back board even before nearby police arrived at the scene.
The man was taken by ambulance to the Brookings Hospital.
Perry says he beleives the man was treated and released.
