SALEM, S.D. (AP) - Residents of the southeast South Dakota town of Salem have their water supply restored.
Officials fixed a failed computer component and the Salem Water Treatment plant is back online.
The town's 1,350 residents had been told not to use tap water since Wednesday morning, and gallon jugs of water were being handed out.
City officials are asking residents to conserve water because the water tower isn't full yet.
Watering gardens or lawns is prohibited until Saturday night.
