3 killed, 1 injured, in crash near Hermosa



     HERMOSA, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Highway Patrol says three people were killed and a fourth person critically injured in a crash on state Highway 79 near Hermosa.
 
     The patrols says a pickup truck pulling a camper on Friday afternoon collided with a car crossing from a parking lot and heading east on South Dakota Highway 40.
 
     The driver of the car, 40-year-old Adrienne White Bull of Porcupine and passengers 52-year-old Darwin Two Bulls of Hermosa and 40-year-old Steven White Magpie of Pine Ridge, were killed. Another passenger in the car, 39-year-old Harold Bettelyoun of Martin, was taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
     The driver of the pickup, Lawrence E. Menis, 61, of Livingston, Texas, and his passenger, Lynda L. Menis, 66, sustained minor injuries.
