SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls man has been arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a weapon at someone during a failed attempt to sell the gun.
Sioux Falls police arrested 49-year-old Tyrone Jones late Monday.
Detective Jon Carda says Jones allegedly drove by the victim, and then stopped and asked if the victim wanted to purchase a weapon. Carda says after the victim declined, Jones pointed a gun and again asked if the victim wanted to buy it.
Carda says Jones then drove away but was arrested after the victim called police and gave a detailed description of the suspect, his vehicle and the gun.
The detective says police found a Russian semi-automatic rifle in Jones' vehicle.
