RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A fourth motorcycle fatality has been reported in connection with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in western South Dakota.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports that 57-year-old Michael Schramm of Flat Rock, Michigan, died from injuries in a crash that occurred Tuesday on South Dakota Highway 244 near Mount Rushmore.
Schramm locked up his brakes when he came upon slow-moving traffic while rounding a curve in the road. He was thrown from his bike and was run over by a motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Don S. Bryant of Newton Falls, Ohio.
Bryant received minor injuries.
