SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man is being held without bond on two counts of assault after allegedly threatening to shoot people in the Spearfish Walmart store where he worked.
Elliot Bintliff of Spearfish was arrested Monday. He made his first court appearance Tuesday, when Circuit Judge Warren Johnson refused to set bail.
Bintliff works at Walmart as a shelf stocker. According to court papers, he told another employee he wanted to go through the store shooting people. Another employee said Bintliff bought a black mask and combat suit that holds ammo.
Lawrence County State's Attorney John Fitzgerald says several firearms were seized from Bintliff's home.
