SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A bank is trying to take over a South Dakota nursing home that was closed last week for violating health rules.
Court documents say the Plains Commerce Bank of Sioux Falls is trying to repossess the Hudson Healthcare Center and a Sioux Falls assisted living facility.
The bank is also going after residential property owned by the company's owners.
The Ward Enterprises company has defaulted on $6.6 million worth of loans.
Owner Joe Ward says the company isn't in danger of folding.
The Hudson nursing home was shut down because of concerns about staffing and allegations of improper dispensing of medicine.
