No bond for suspect in Rapid City prostitution case

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A judge has rejected bond for a South Dakota man accused of running a prostitution ring.

Thirty-five-year-old Jeramy Caron was accused last year of bringing women from several states to work as prostitutes in Rapid City hotels. He has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of promoting sexual activity and pimping.

Caron was free on a bond that allowed him to travel only to Minnesota when he was arrested in March in Indiana on charges of promoting prostitution. He has been held without bond in Rapid City since being returned to South Dakota in July.

Judge Jeff Davis on Monday refused to grant Caron another bond.
