SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The Sioux Falls City Council has approved naming the city's new events center the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
Sanford Health, First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard are paying nearly $21 million to secure the naming rights for the next 25 years.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the $115 million facility is set for Aug. 30. It is scheduled to open in October 2014.
City Council also has taken an initial step toward hiring a company to sell naming rights to other parts of the center, from suite boxes to concourses.
