WITZMANN HONORED…For the second time this season, South Dakota State tackle Bryan Witzmann has been honored as the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week.
   Witzmann received a championship grade of 1.86 in the Jackrabbits' 41-28 victory over Youngstown State on Oct. 27. SDSU racked up its largest point total of the season and the second-largest total offense output (416 yards), throwing for a season-best 351 yards and five touchdowns.

GFP COMMISSION… The SD Game Fish and Parks Commission will be holding its November Meeting at Camp Lakodia, near Madison, this week.
   The Commission will finalize proposals on:  Hunting license fees, Oahe walleye limits, hoopnet and spearing, several other fisheries proposals, as well as camping and park license fees.
   The Commission will be proposing the 2013 spring turkey, Custer State Park turkey and spring light goose conservation order at this meeting.

SDHSAA MEETING…The South Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors will meet this week in Pierre.
   The board will consider a request to dissolve a wrestling cooperative between Lake Preston, DeSmet and Arlington – but leave a cooperative between DeSmet and Arlington.
   State tournament dates, and sites for the 2015-16 school year will be set.  A seeding formula for class 11AAA and 11AA football will be adopted. 
   A classification appeal will also be heard.
