He also added four rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot in the win.

SDSU FB ALL-AMERICAN…South Dakota State University players Bryan Witzmann and Zach Zenner were named to the Football Championship Subdivision All-America First Team as selected by the Sports Network.
Witzmann anchored a Jackrabbit offensive line that led the way for Zenner to reach 2,000 yards and record averages of 23.4 points and 367.6 yards of total offense per game. Witzmann has started at left tackle each of the Jackrabbits' 35 games over the past three seasons, earning first-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors in 2012 after an honorable mention selection in 2011.
Zenner was named to his second All-America team in as many weeks. Honored earlier by the American Football Coaches Association, Zenner has since regained the lead in the FCS rushing race with 2,044 yards for an average of 157.2 yards per game. He crossed the 100-yard mark in nine games and topped 200 yards three times, including a school-record 295 yards in the opening round of the FCS playoffs
SDSU BASEBALL SIGN…South Dakota State University baseball coach Dave Schrage says four high school standouts and one junior college player signed National Letters of Intent.
The signees include:
• Ryan Froom, 6-1, pitcher, Crystal, Minn.
• Derringer Huff, 6-4, 190, pitcher, Troy, Mo.;
• Matt Johnson, 6-1, 200, third baseman/pitcher, Ankeny, Iowa;
• Ethan Kenkel, 6-5, 215, pitcher, Storm Lake, Iowa;
• Austin Kost, 6-1, 170, pitcher, Sioux Falls
Froom combined to go 6-0 with two saves during his sophomore and junior seasons at St. Louis Park High School in the Twin Cities metro area. The team's most valuable player as a junior, Froom also batted .420 with six doubles and a home run while serving as the regular starting shortstop.
Huff has yet to play collegiately after redshirting during the 2012 season. He is slated to play the 2013 campaign at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill.
Johnson batted .438 with 13 home runs, 14 doubles and an .867 slugging percentage. He led the team with 56 hits and 51 runs batted in, while also compiling a 7-1 record and 1.52 earned run average on the mound in earning first-team all-state honors as a utility player.
Kenkel has earned all-district honors three times and was an all-state selection last season at Storm Lake High School after compiling a 6-2 record while striking out 75 batters in only 52 innings. He limited opponents to a .142 batting average while compiling a 1.08 ERA.
Kost compiled a 4-2 record with a 1.77 ERA, striking out 49 batters in 36 innings. He went on to post a 6-3 mark with a 3.30 ERA with five complete games in first season of American Legion ball. He threw a no-hitter versus Coon Rapids (Minn.) in the Upper Midwest Classic. Although recruited as a pitcher, Kost batted .370 and played eight different positions last season.
USD SCAM…Six people accused of stealing identities in South Dakota and using them to fraudulently collect tax refunds have pleaded not guilty in federal court in South Dakota.
Four of the six are former University of South Dakota football players. One of them — 21-year-old Alphonso Valdez — is accused by the Internal Revenue Service of being the leader of the fraud scheme.
Nine people from South Dakota and Florida are charged in the alleged plot. They were indicted last month. Authorities say the IRS paid fraudulent claims of about $500,000 before the scheme was uncovered.
Two others pleaded not guilty last month, including 21-year-old Christopher Lundy, who was still on the team this past fall, and former USD track athlete and student body president Terry Liggins.
IOWA MESS…A former University of Iowa athletics department counselor at the center of a sexual harassment scandal was rehired in 2002 without mention that he had been fired from another university for performance or that he had earlier worked at Iowa.
The university released more than 2,000 pages of documents related to Peter V. Gray, the associate director of athletic student services who quietly resigned last month. An internal university report accused Gray of sexually harassing students and athletes through improper touching that allegedly dated back to his earlier employment at Iowa from 1993 to 1995. The report also found that he had improper sexual photographs on his computer and had traded complementary football tickets to someone outside the university for nude photos.
The case has prompted university officials to reassign Gray's supervisor, associate athletic director Fred Mims, reorganize the athletics department, order an audit to find out what happened and review its hiring policies.
