SDSU MBB…Isaiah Canaan tallied 22 points and five assists to lead Murray State to a 73-62 victory over South Dakota State on Saturday.
Stacy Wilson added 15 points in the Racers' (20-7) fourth consecutive BracketBuster win.
The Racers used a 30-9, second-half run to rally from a 14-point deficit and overcome South Dakota State (21-9), which experienced its first back-to-back losses since the second and third game of the 2011-12 season.
The Jackrabbits led 54-46 before three consecutive dunks from Wilson and Ed Daniel pushed Murray State within two points with 10 minutes to go and sparked the game-ending run.
Nate Wolters led the Jackrabbits with 18 points and five assists.

SUMMIT TRACK…The North Dakota State women and South Dakota men lead the team standings. Three league and DakotaDome records were broken and one DakotaDome record was tied during opening day action.
The Bison women lead the standings with a total of 47 points followed by Omaha in second with 38 points and Kansas City in third with 32 points. South Dakota sits in fourth with 28 points and South Dakota State is in fifth with 23 points. Oakland (14 points, Western Illinois (11 points) and Fort Wayne (two points) round out the women's standings.
On the men's side, host South Dakota leads the way with 59 points, while North Dakota State holds onto second with 52 points and South Dakota State is in third with 31.3333 points. Kansas City is in fourth (28 points) with Western Illinois (18.6666 points) and Oakland (three points) in fifth and sixth.
SDSU BASEBALL…South Dakota State overcame a 5-0 deficit, rallying for nine runs over the final three innings, en route to a 12-7 victory over St. Bonaventure.
Andrew Melton was 4-for-6 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Scott Splett was 2-for-5 with a double, triple and five RBI, while Eric Danforth and Daniel Telford also registered two hits each for the Jackrabbits, who held a 13-11 advantage in hits.
Closer J.D. Moore pitched two scoreless innings for his first save of the season. Adam Bray earned the victory in relief, striking out two and walking one in three innings. Stephen Bougher worked the first four innings, recording two strikeouts and two walks, along with allowing seven hits.

Saturday, SDSU picked up a 10-5 win over the Bonnies – Splett, Melton and Danforth each had three hits. Kolton Emery earned the win.
Ohio State defeated the Jacks 5-2. The Jacks scored two unearned runs. Shane Kraemer made his first start since 2011 and took the loss.
Friday, Ohio State beat the Jacks 10-2. Layne Somsen struck out seven and walked two over six innings.
SDSU SOFTBALL…The South Dakota State capped at the Hilltopper Classic on Sunday with a pair of one-run victories in completing a 3-2 win over Valparaiso in a game that started on Saturday, and then walking off with a 1-0 win over Western Michigan.
Jennifer Sutton picked up the complete game win against Valpo to improve to 2-1 on the season after giving up two runs on seven hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
The Western Michigan game came down to a pair of Bronco errors and a wild pitch, all in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Dayton defeated SDSU Saturday 2-1 – the SDSU run scoring on a couple of fielder’s choices. Kori Seidlitz took the loss.
Pitt beat SDSU 7-3 Friday. Seidlitz and Devan Larson had run scoring doubles and Emily Weber a run-scoring single.
SDSU TENNIS…The South Dakota State women's tennis team capped its undefeated weekend with a shutout win versus Green Bay, its second shutout in three meets.
SDSU swept doubles for the team point. Brooke Henry and Tacy Haws-Laydominated at No. 2 with an 8-1 win.
Ffion Davies and Jenny Blackburne were one-break winners at No. 1, as were Florencia Magni and Beatriz Souza at No. 3. Magni and Souza posted a perfect 3-0 record this weekend at No. 3 doubles.
Singles was more of the same, as all Jackrabbits were straight-set winners.

Saturday, SDSU got by Northern Iowa 4-3. The Jackrabbits lost the doubles point, but won four of six singles matches. Friday, SDSU defeated Upper Iowa 7-0.
SDSU EQUESTRIAN…South Dakota State’s six show winning streak came to an end on Sunday in a hunt seat only competition against SMU, as the Mustangs pulling just ahead of the Jackrabbits with a close 6-5 victory at the DeHaan Equestrian Center, dropping the Jackrabbits to 6-4 on the season.
SMU posted a 4-1 score in the equitation over fences competition with some close scores between competitors. Junior Santana Wright earned the lone point for the Jacks with an 80 over the Mustangs Emma Roberts’ 78. Wright now holds a 4-6 record in the fences arena.
In equitation on the flat, the Jackrabbits ended strong with a 3-2 score. Wright contributed to the Jacks success with her flat point, along with Senior Megan Violand.
Freshman Marielle Golden captured the other point for the Jacks, earning a high score of 87 over opponent Paulena Johnson’s 84. Golden also earned her second MOP of the weekend for her ride in the flat arena.

The South Dakota State equestrian team earned its sixth straight win on Saturday with an 11-5 win over the Sacred Heart Pioneers, boosting the Jackrabbits record to 6-3 on the season.
SDSU rode each event strongly, resulting in a 2- 2 tie in equitation over fences, a 3- 1 victory in reining, a 2-1 victory in horsemanship and a 3- 1 victory in equitation on the flat for the Jackrabbits.
The Jackrabbits earned all four MOP honors as well, with freshman Marielle Golden in equitation over fences, junior Laura Dunlavy in reining, senior Kelsey Champagne in horsemanship and senior Megan Schiffman in equitation on the flat.
In equitation over fences, Golden and sophomore Jordan Goodall earned points for the Jackrabbits. Dunlavy, senior Jana Basler, sophomore Raivenne Scott and freshman Jessie Miller scored points in the reining arena. Champagne and fellow senior Hillery Baysinger rode for their points on the horsemanship side, as well. Completing the day in equitation on the flat, Schiffman, Golden, and junior Santana Wright won their rides for the Jackrabbits.
RANGERS HOCKEY…Three Brookings hockey teams were involved in state tournament play over the weekend.
The Bantam A placed second in its tourney. Brookings opened Friday with a 9-1 win over Yankton…defeated the Rushmore Thunder 8-2 in the semifinals…but dropped a 2-1 decision to Sioux Falls in the finals.
The Bantam B team claimed third place in their tournament. They posted a 5-2 win over Sioux Center in opening round play…dropped a 2-1 decision to Sioux Falls…but bounced back with a 6-4 win over Huron.
The Brookings girls J-V team bounced back from a 5-2 loss to Sioux Falls in the opening round of their tournament with two wins. The Rangers defeated Yanktion 5-0…then defeated Oahe 5-2 to take fifth place.
BLIZZARD…Aberdeen scored three goals in the third period, including the game-tying goal with just one second remaining on the clock, and then won the game in a shootout over the Blizzard on Saturday. Brookings led 4-1 heading into the third on goals from Nick DeCenzo, Eric Brenk, Justin Moody and Matt Youso. Erik Baskin scored his second goal of the game to start the comeback and Jake Horton and Jordan Heller also scored. Baskin also had the shootout winner.
